Don't talk to Mike!
★★★★☆
When y'all use Pep Boys in Plano on Spring Creek don't allow the rep named Mike in the repair dept help you, he will attempt to sell you everything. He must retrieve everyone is rich, now Chris on the other hand is very nice and helpful. He understands today's economy and will be honest with you with what your motorcar needs. Mike acts like he works on commission, reminds me of a used motorcar salesman. Visitor is good, Mike is the bad apple!

My machine was overheating. Subsequently stopping and letting information technology absurd off several time and I final made information technology to Pep Boys they immediately said the diagnostic would cost $39.99, ok what am I going practise only get for it. While in the waiting room my son and I could come across them mechanics running the car, pouring water in the radiator and the automobile steaming. After a piffling flake the head mechanic comes in the waiting area with a tube with yellow water in it. He says we ran a vapor examination. You lot see this h2o it is suppose to be blue h2o. This is non practiced, yous blew a gasket. Nosotros can fix it simply we volition need to order the part and it will cost $1300. He so asked if I wanted to see how they performed the test. I said no for what? My son says yeah I want to see that. So we go to the car the run it over again, h2o is humid over, steam everywhere. So they take this tube of blueish water and identify it in the radiator opening to collect the vapors. The blueish water boils and boils and boils, but the h2o never changes color. The mechanic performing the test keeps looking at it just waiting and waiting. And then the turn off the car, I said perhaps you didnt run the examination right the first fourth dimension because this h2o is not changing. Then the examination performer says maybe we need to let information technology run longer. I said I think I accept seen enough. Lets let it cool off and Im going home with the automobile. \n\nI joined AAA immediately and researched and researched where to accept my motorcar towed. I was going to Christian Brothers Auto Repair when the tow truck came this morning time, just the driver told me they are over priced and I could become to AAA garage and go 15% for beingness a member and the tow would be free since I am using their services. I was concerned almost beingness lied to again and over charged. I was told they couldnt over charge because they could lose their AAA endorsement. Then off the car went. Less then an hour later on I received a call, radiator cap seal was no good and the thermostat was sticking. Total cost $124. You tell me was Pep Boys trying to pull a fast i or not?

Pitiful to know

Used them two times...1st time I found my turn point arm cleaved and they denied breaking it. That was a $350 repair that I had to pay. OK...!!! I gave them the benefit of the uncertainty. Adjacent, I went in to accept a small part removed and was told it would accept almost an hour and then I must be charged $90. I approved the work and in x min they were washed - 10 min!!!!!!! So I asked if they would adjust the cost since it took only ten min. They were trying to tell me it did accept iii/four of an hr and the answer was no. You decide.

Cliff Johnson
★★★★★
I recieved excellent phone service from Cliff Johnson. Cliff was not only very professional, but took the time to explain the different GPS that were on sale and the benefits that each provided. He also placed my selected GPS on hold for me to pick up afterwards I got off from work. Nifty JOB Cliff!!!

Pepboys Asst Manager Steve Hoedeback
★☆☆☆☆
Later on taking my car to Pepboys for a brake check, assistant store manager Steve told me I needed all 4 brakes replaced. When I asked to see how bad they were i saw about 9mm of pad left on the forepart and nigh new on the rear. The technician said that I but needed a clean and adjust on the rear and a resurface on the forepart. Steve was very condescending to me and made me experience like my automobile would be in a bad blow if I didn't have all this unneeded work done.
I volition never go there again.
